南北港生串聯靜坐！ 喊出「反送中」訴求
在台的香港學生在南北發起反送中靜坐活動號召上百人喊出訴求，不少台灣民眾也到場聲援，其中高雄場剛開始，副市長葉匡時突然現身替學生鼓勵，但活動總召表示如果代表市府不歡迎，因為就怕被政治模糊焦點，葉匡時待不到五分鐘快閃離開把舞台還給學生，而在台北的港生，則是冒著大雨在雨中也澆不熄他們捍衛民主的決心。
聲援反送中在台的香港學生南北串聯發起靜坐抗議，下午五點多高雄文化中心就陸續聚集近百名學生，副市長葉匡則臨時通知出席會場
香港學生vs.副市長葉匡時：「如果需要什麼高雄市政府幫忙，我們那個好不好，教育局的，也都會協助謝謝謝謝。」
突然現身輕拍靜坐學搶購網購達人生肩膀給予支持，葉匡時短暫停留不到五分鐘隨即上車離開。
活動總召鄧同學：「歡迎更多的台灣民眾，台灣學生或是香港人可以關注這個事情，我們沒有想要牽涉到市政府的部分，所以如果是政府的部分，他們是以個人的名義的話，我們非常歡迎他參加，但是他是以副市長的話，我們就沒有非常期待他可以來臨。」
希望鎂光燈都聚焦在反送中的事件上，只是活動方晚間邀請時代力量議員黃捷和民進黨議員高閔琳等議員和專家學者到場希望替活動發聲，活動還沒開始前民進黨團也大動員，幾乎所有議員都到場支持力挺。
抗議香港學生：「我們可以看到香港政府，林鄭月娥政府，對示威者打壓的程度是歷史上最高的，因此我們在台的香港學生，對林鄭月娥的打壓做出一個聲明，反送中，反送中，反送中。」
大聲喊出訴求冒雨也要站出來，在台北也有香港學生和台灣民眾聚集在香港駐台經貿辦事處靜坐，拉起布條舉起手板，播放著香港現場抗爭的即時影像，儘管不在香港，但心繫香港，大家目標一致就是希望撤銷不合法的逃犯條例捍衛民主也捍衛人權。
台鐵擬周休二日 車長批砍加班費 台鐵：是達成工會訴求
台鐵局擬自七月起，實施周休二日制，新制引發內部有不同聲音；圖非新聞當事人。 圖／聯合報系資料照片 分享 facebook 台鐵班表一直備受外界詬病。根據台鐵局規畫，擬在七月起讓車長逐步落實周休二日，一個月四周的四天休息日中，有一天可不用出勤，也就是有一周可以周休二日。但新制引發內部不同聲音，曾大力爭取依法休假的台鐵產業工會指「本末倒置」，應薪資正常網購人氣商品送禮酒推薦化後再讓員工依法休假。有台鐵官員私下說，落實周休二日是達成工會訴求，台鐵努力補足員額、減少員工加班，如今工會卻仍不滿。. } }); } 根據台鐵內部會議紀錄，預計七月起，現行車長每月四天休息日都要出勤的情況，改成出勤三天、休息一天，等於一個月會有一周是周休二日。有車長質疑，此舉只是想要砍加班費，一個月會少領三千到五千元不等的加班費。若其中一周做五休二，但車班仍這麼多，「車誰跑？」極可能造成其他同仁須分擔工作量，使車班組因人力不足，向其他乘務員借班，連續乘務又可能造成休時不足，影響行車安全。台鐵企業工會文宣組組長吳長智說，錢和假無法兼顧時，給加班費是比較實際的做法。若台鐵局真的要朝周休二日制，應先把人力補足再談。台鐵產業工會秘書長蕭農瑀說，應是當薪水達一定標準後，再按勞基法規定休假。但現在卻以「要讓員工休息」之名行「砍加班費」之實，是本末倒置。台鐵局說，當初是因不少同仁抱怨加班，才適度調配，不是要省加班費，同仁多休息才有良好行車品質。台鐵運務人力會分三階段補足一一五○人，第一階段去年已到位六二四人，因而可增加一個休息日免加班。台鐵局說，即便車長每月有一周變成周休二日，仍維持每周每個上班日平均工時六小時四十分，若仍有人力需求，還是會讓車長加班，並非強制取消，也不會有連續乘務情形，會按勞基法走。五月底會與車班代表開會，一切還在討論中，實施也會漸進式，現已有部分車班推周休二日。
